24.3.11 Artifact Gifts

Artifacts may be purchased as gifts for other players. Gift purchases must be
made with unbound credits. Once the purchase is made, the artifact is
completely owned by the recipient for which it is purchased. The buyer has no
rights of any sort on the artifact, and will not be able to recover any credits
or value from the artifact.

Commands:

ARTIFACT GIFT PURCHASE <artifact type> FOR <person> [CONFIRM]

- This will use unbound credits to purchase an artifact of the 
  specified type. The artifact will be bound to the person for
  which it is purchased. It will be placed in a giftbox that can
  only be unwrapped by the recipient. The giftbox will be placed
  in the purchaser's inventory, allowing the purchaser to mail the
  gift in a letter or to give it to the recipient directly.

UNWRAP <box>

- This command will be used by the recipient to unwrap the gift
  and receive the artifact. At that time, the artifact will be
  made to reset to the recipient's inventory.

Example:

Thanatos notices that Epiphany has been rather sad lately. Feeling the
benevolent sort, he purchases Bracelets of Epiphany's Grace using this command:

ARTIFACT GIFT PURCHASE 89 FOR EPIPHANY

After entering that command, Thanatos see this:

You are about to purchase artifact #89 (a pair of Bracelets of Epiphany's 
Grace) for 1400 unbound credits. This artifact will be owned in entirety by 
Epiphany. You will never be able to recover any of the unbound credits used for
this purchase. This artifact will be created and placed in a small giftbox that
you can deliver to Epiphany.
To complete this purchase, enter: ARTIFACT GIFT PURCHASE 89 FOR EPIPHANY 
CONFIRM.

After verifying that all of the information is accurate and that he actually
has the 1400 unbound credits required for the transaction, Thanatos does this:

ARTIFACT GIFT PURCHASE 89 FOR EPIPHANY CONFIRM

This command creates the bracelets, puts them in a giftbox, and then deposits
the giftbox in to Thanatos' inventory. Thanatos then goes over to Epiphany and
gives her the box. Epiphany does UNWRAP GIFTBOX, at which point the bracelets
are moved from the box and in to her inventory, where they will permanently
reset. Epiphany is the complete owner of the bracelets, and can use them or
trade them in as she wishes.
