20.4.9 Design Commands

Here's a more detailed help file for the command DESIGN.

Creation/Submission
-------------------
DESIGN NEW <pattern>
  - Create a new design, given a pattern. <pattern> should be the pattern's ID you want to use.

DESIGN <#> SET <prop> <value>
  - Set details on a design by setting the values of different variables. See HELP DESIGN PROPERTIES
DESIGN <#> SUBMIT

DESIGN <#> WITHDRAW
  - Remove from the design approval queue early.
  - If you withdraw and then re-submit, your daily submission limit is NOT affected.
DESIGN <#> COMMENT <comment>
  - Add a comment for the Guild. This comment will be viewable in the design log, viewed using DESIGN <#> SHOW. Note: These comments to the Crafter's Union are not meant to attack, or belittle approvers but to assist in the critiquing of your design.

DESIGN <#> ESCALATE <reason>
  - Escalate a design from the crafting queue, asking the Divine to investigate or clarify a ruling.
DESIGN <#> CRAFT [quantity]
  - Create an item.
  - If the item supports batch creation, create QUANTITY items. (ex: craft 10 vials)
DESIGN <#> BREW <potstill>

  - Make sure you have the commodities in hand and the potstill specified.

Design Resources
-----------------
DESIGN TIP LIST [category]
  - List all design tips.
  - If a category is supplied, list only the tips in that category.
  - Categories include General, Banned, New_Rulings and Allowed, as well as a category for each tradeskill.
DESIGN TIP <alias>
  - Shows the full text of a design tip.

Design Management
-----------------
DESIGN LIST [search filter] [filter value] [search filter] [filter value] ... [APPEARANCE] [appearance filter value]
  - Search the list of designs you have access to. DESIGN LIST uses a series of filters that you can use to narrow the results.
  - If using the APPEARANCE filter, it must be the last filter in the filter list.
  VALID FILTERS:
   - Tradeskill <tailoring/metalworking/etc>
   - Status <unsubmitted/approved/unapproved>
   - Expiry (<X mos. to expiry>) -- displays designs with X months or fewer before expiry.
   - Preserved <true/false>
   - Pattern <#>
   - Granted <true/false>
   - Orgowned <ANY/org>
   - Creator <person>
EXAMPLE: I want to search for a design within the tailoring tradeskill that has the word "dress" in the appearance:
     - I would use the search DESIGN LIST TRADESKILL TAILORING APPEARANCE DRESS.
     - This uses the Tradeskill and Appearance filters. Any number of filters can be used in one search, to progressively narrow the returned results.
DESIGN SHELVED
  - Shows a list of the designs you control that are for sale in shops, and what shelf and shop they are contained in.
DESIGN <#> GRANT <player>
  - Let someone else make your design. Cannot be revoked.
DESIGN <#> TRANSFER <player>
  - Permanently transfer ownership.
  - You will need to confirm this transfer.
  - This transfers ownership completely. You will lose access to the design when it is transferred.
DESIGN <#> FORGET
  - Give up access to a design that has been granted to you.
DESIGN <#> DOCUMENT
  - Create a sellable record of your design.
  - This is how you create a writ. You can then sell this in shops, etc.
  - For granting designs to a specific player, see DESIGN <#> GRANT <player> above.
ADD <design#> TO <shelf>
  - Adds a design to a Crafter's Shelf.
REMOVE <design#> FROM <shelf>
  - Removes a design from a Crafter's Shelf.

DESIGN <#> DELETE

DESIGN <#> PRESERVE
  - Keep a design from ever expiring.
  - Costs 2 credits apiece. These credits are NOT refundable, so choose to preserve wisely!
DESIGN <#> UNPRESERVE
