Shrine Changes

Written by: Dec

We've made some changes to the way shrines work. Here are the highlights:

* Shrines can now be built up to 15 rooms away.

* Base cost for a shrine is now 30% belief at 3 rooms away. This cost increases up to 100% belief at 15 rooms away.

* Shrine upkeep now depends on the number of neighboring shrines and shrine distances. Shrines in clusters will cost less than shrines out on their own. In addition, shrines overlapping with other sect/cult's shrines will be even more expensive.

* The amount a shrine will be defiled now also depends on the distance, number and level of neighboring shrines. Having more shrines will make it harder to defile. Having shrines from another cult nearby will make it easier to defile.

* You will see references to idols and idol stones. Idols are like shrines, but they can be built anywhere on the main continent. You will need to get your hands on an idol stone to build one, however. Details and hints on how to obtain idol stones will be forthcoming later.

* Virtue comms will now be harder to obtain.

As always, if you notice something buggy or seemingly unintentional please bring it to my attention either by flagging me down or filing a bug report.
