Communication, Language Rules, and Rings

We all know that obscene language, offensive talk, and racial or hate speech is not allowed on public channels in Imperian. This includes city channels, guild channels, shouts, and so on.

When we first created rings they were intended as on-the-fly groups used for bashing or other short activities together. We were not going to police communication in rings as they were completely voluntary and generally between like minded players.

Rings have evolved into large group channels and are nearly a requirement for cities and circles. In addition to other features, they have become good tool for teaching players different aspects of the game in an OOC fashion.

Due to this evolution of the ring, we must now begin policing the language and harassment rules on rings. In particular, any ring that is used for city or circle coordination.

Therefore, if you feel as though language or behavior is breaking the communication rules for Imperian, please discuss this problem with the offender and if that does not yield results, please use the issue system.

Keep in mind that this does not mean OOC chatter. We do not care about OOC talk on rings.

If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Letum, in the year 72 AM.
