Addressed to: Everyone

Following the beta testing, the final October classlead changes are now live! Thanks go to our beta testers for their help in bringing these to you.

[178] Bleeding has been removed from most weapon attacks, as well as some others; Wyrmriding attacks and longswords remain unaffected; weapons with Serration still do bleeding - a serrated weapon now does as much bleeding as a non-serrated one did before. Serrated longswords do about 16% less bleeding than before. Wyrmriding attacks do as much bleeding as before. Longslash remains unchanged.

[180] Shred (Weaponmastery) now always inflicts haemophilia, and also gives a toxin if a bleeding threshold is reached

[195] Fast statpack is gone, those affected have received a free reincarnation

[195] Speed changes were done to: Doublestab (Sabotage), Evileye, Curses, Predation darts, Tarot flings, Ravage/Devastate (Torment)

[195] Lich animation (Necromancy) no longer speeds up Evileye attacks

[195] Reduced Evileye health/mana damage from Animate by 10%, to match the 10% speed increase

[214 update] Flay (Malignosis) damage scaling increased; please keep in mind that Flay is affected by mental afflictions only, not physical ones!

[215 update] Numbers on Binding (Malignosis) altered

[228 update] Kai trance now gives +10 kai every 5 seconds (+20 with kai boost)

[228 update] being attacked, attacking, or anything like that no longer generates any kai

[228 update] Kai focus removed

[228 update] Out-of-room kai choke cost doubled

[228 update] Kai strike cost increased to 30 (up from 15)

[231] Campgrounds (Trailblazing) now only work as an indoors room if their owner is present and using the correct pprofession

[235] Lavablast (Pyroglacia) now costs 4 attunement (down from 5)

[235] Using the *wreathe modifiers should now be factored in correctly when determining spell costs

[243] Jinx (Shamanism) is now focusable, and flared Cadmus attacks somewhat slowed while the target is jinxed

[276] Addiction altered, it now causes the sipped health/mana elixir to have the effect of the other one, instead of attempting to sip the other one

[295] While Incinerate (Noctu) is running, all Noctu spells automatically receive the Intensify effect

[295] Heave (Noctu) now gives taint attunement 0.5s later if intensified, to prevent the affliction from having an immediate effect

[295] Nerveburn (Noctu) no longer has any intensified effect

[331] Burning a gold ink (Kanai) now gives Smite a 33% chance to increase fanatism (50% with myrrh)

[348 update] Cleanse (Spatium) changed, it now disables the shrugging defence instead of being blocked by it

Defiler changes:

- Germinate (Desecration) no longer has a cooldown

- Bellow (Desecration) now correctly caps at 50 entropy

- Entropy gain (Torment) now starts doing entropy-scaling damage at 20% (down from 100%)

- Entropy (Torment) is no longer focusable, and its periodic ticks now generate entropy, instead of causing fear

Other changes:

- Clot mana cost now scales to maximum mana

- New Warding ability: Piercejab

- Autocuring now cures afflictions first and sips second - this should resolve some issues with luminal and addiction

- Added a message when Drain (Terratheria) can be used again - this is a room message, as the cooldown is per-target

- Removed the periodic deathaura spam

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
