Feburary's Fabulous Phylacteries

Phylacteries have been updated and are on sale on the website for the remainder of February. The prize tables chances have been adjusted and the new artifact items listed below have been added. In addition to the new prizes, there is a small chance to get a crystal apply (HELP APPLES) and all phylacteries will get a -free- bonus bean (HELP BEANS).

Feedback from players has indicated most do not like items that are used up after a number of uses. The new items are permanent but come with some form of a cooldown. All can be sold to other players on the promo market. This batch has several that should appeal to bashers.

NEW ITEMS:

a flask of thrice blessed water

POUR <flask> ON <corpse>
This item multiplies a mobs sacrifice faith value by 100. It can only be used once every 24 hours. Great for those big-ticket mobs.


a golden triangle of fortune
----------------------------
RUB <triangle>
This item increases gold drops by 10% for the next 30 minutes for any mobs that you kill. This item has a 24-hour cooldown.


a black cats tail
-----------------
TOUCH <mob> WITH <tail>
This item will curse a mob you touch it with. The effect will double all damage done to it, but halves the XP gained from killing it. The tail has a 60-second cooldown and the effect is permanent until it is killed.


a balm of emboldening
---------------------
APPLY <balm> TO <mob>
When applied to a mob it will halve the damage done to it, but it doubles its XP value and gold drop. The balm has a 60-second cooldown and the effect is permanent until it is killed.


a broken mirror shard
---------------------
CUT <player> WITH <shard>
Have someone you hate? This item curses a player with -25% gold drops for 60 minutes. It has a 24-hour cooldown.


a shell of lethargy
---------------------------
THROW <shell>
This item automatically hits the closest enemy character in the same area. It has a 60-second effect that varies depending on the color of the shell. A player struck by a shell is immune to further shell effects for 60 minutes.
Red: Doubles movement delay over rubble
Green: Reduces the celerity of the targeted persona to 1 room per second
Blue: Confuses character movement. Normal movement cannot be controlled.


a scatter bomb

THROW <bomb> <direction>
All mobs in the affected room will automatically wander twice, completely emptying the room. It does not work on guards, bosses, or mobs loyal to players.


a splintered looking glass
--------------------------
STARE INTO <mirror>
This will create dozens of mirror images of the character appear. While this does not confuse other characters, NPC's will be unable to hit the character unless hit first. This item has a 60-minute cooldown and does not work on boss mobs.


a ragged scarecrow
------------------
PLANT <scarecrow>
Causes NPC's to avoid walking into a room. Does not work on bosses and has a 60-minute cooldown.


an alluring gem
---------------
DROP <gem>
All wandering mobs in the area will advance to the room the gem has been dropped in. In addition, it halves the wandering speed of mobs in the area that are moving toward the gem. if there are more than one in an area, it will randomly decide which one to go to. The item can only be used once every 60 minutes and the effect lasts for 60 minutes. You can pick it up to turn it off and then drop it again in the same room to reactivate it within that 60 minutes.
