The Empire of Stavenn has been dominating the towne of Gadan for many
months, their sacrifices and rituals in addition to their communion the
Red Maiden, granted the towne a demonic influence. The triumph did not
cease there, and has continued to the towne of Velin. Within Velin, the
Blood Prince, Eligor arrived to watch for himself the military takeover
of the towne, declaring Wrath pleased. The towne was subdued by the
Empire, and was granted a demonic influence. Their hunger for bloodshed
and domination has led Stavenn to the council of Khandava itself,
declaring it for themselves and giving it the accoutrements of the
Empire.

The resplendent silver tree still grows within Monarch Square of
Khandava, the gift of the Arcane Lady. Lord Janus too blessed this
receptacle of arcane and natural magicks. A silver dryad stirs within
the trunk of the tree, now and again her drowsy song is heard. The
people of Khandava are unable to free her during their occupation by the
Empire. The dryad remains safe within the tree, and cannot be harmed
until she emerges. Her form and her potential at rest, until the time is
right.

Within Antioch, an old woman appeared from the village of Anhir. The
ancient woman was known to some of the elder citizens as Nhara, the
Grandmother. The old woman spoke to many, and as with most of the senior
aged, she gave her opinions on the current state of affairs. She also
took the time to spend with some of the young, telling stories of
history that she hoped would inspire them. Why would the Grandmother
take the trouble after all these years of silence to speak? Was she
rambling as old women do, or is she wise in her venerable dotage.
