Recently learning the ways of a Summoner, Raya Aertsen was eager to try her new abilities in summoning Demon Lords. When she attempted to summon Jy'Barrak Golgotha, she was met with an unexpected visitor. Rhysor the Demon Emperor appeared in his place, claiming to have dire matters to discuss with Esmyrsia, the Demon Empress that has made Stavenn her home for some time now.
Rhysor claimed that Esmyrsia had unsettled business in the Pit in which her presence was urgently required. Theophilus and Raya allowed him to leave the pentagram to speak with her, and they met with the Empress at the dais.
As soon as Rhysor met with Esmyrsia, the truth finally came out. The Demon Emperor came to claim his wife, Esmyrsia, and return with her to the Pit. She had escaped him in coming to Stavenn, though he finally found her. The two disagreed, however, their antics drawing the attention of Celosyi. She appeared at the dais as well, learning quickly that Esmyrsia was in a precarious position. Kanthari, Vasharr, Adril, Mathiaus, Ahkan, Ellarynth, Luthyr, Sadey and Caitryn joined Raya and Theophilus to witness the situation and provide what assistance may be required of them.
When Esmyrsia would not go willingly, Rhysor took ahold of the dais himself and began to draw the entire thing back to the Pit with him. Celosyi went to Esmyrsia, shrouding them both with her cloak, and it seemed Rhysor was victorious in taking them, as the dais, Demon Emperor, Empress and Entity were consumed.
Raya went to their altar after this happened, and watched as Esmyrsia emerged in the form of a Diabolus, dragging Rhysor as easily as one might drag an unwilling child with her. Celosyi used her power to destroy the dais, freeing Esmyrsia from it. Granting her the strength to return in Celosyi's place by merging with her, it allowed Esmyrsia, the Demon Empress, to transcend her previous form. With this act of selflessness, the Cult of the Unspeakable was powerful enough to evolve into a Sect, and Rhysor has been placated as Esmyria?s minion. Oh how the tides have changed.
