Greetings fellow Imperianites,
I heard from a friend that my partner's death was announced on Market. That's seemed ..well -odd- but also reminded me that perhaps there were others beyond our social circle here that might wish to know the details and have an avenue for sharing memories and condolences.
The love of my life, my partner in all things, passed away yesterday from heart failure. You know him better as Sethren, Verick, Carnak, Cyneric, Marahdan, and Tarlon. He was a terrible enemy and an astounding friend.
For those who do not know, Jesse was born with two rare genetic disorders. SCID and Myscular Dystrophy. He had no immune system and was permantly disabled, wheelchair bound, had little strength and limited range of motion. Despite that, he radiated hope, love, intense curiosity, and profound wisdom. Despite the challenges in his life, and partially due to his involvement with Imperian, he found deep love, built a family, began to study physics with the hopes of a career in academia and an impact in the field. He loved music and chased amazing bands with me. He was a fantastic tabletop ally and wicked evil board game opponent. He was an astounding father to my children and an even better friend to us all. Despite his challenges he never shied away from a challenge and fought to build himself a rich and fulfilling life.
Imperian was his launching point, so for that I have much to be thankful for. He will be always missed, but I am so very blessed to have known him, to have shared in his love and friendship and vision for the world.
I'll be having a memorial this week to honor his memory, and assuming his family will release his ashes to me, we will spread his ashes at a local forest he loved to be in. If you want to share a memory, or offer condolences, you can reach me at krysalisslynne@gmail.com.
Farewell again,
Heather
