Tread

Watch your step
Lest you tread upon me
Go around
Leave me be.

Protective Aura
Keeps interlopers away
And even though it fades
No one will step on me today.

I watch the people as they go past
I watch the grass as it grows tall
I feel the wind rustling through my hair
No one will bother me at all.

Off in the distance
Lonely as can be
Waiting for someone
Someone to tread on me.
