Blind Eye

Writing isn't about style, tempo or rhythm.
It's not about what you shan't, won't and can't give them.
It's not about being.
It's about seeing.
With you blind eye.
Not about returning to days gone by.
You don't need that.
Cut away the useless fat.
You don't need it.
Just feel it.
Because you know it.
No need to show it.
Just don't be afraid.
Of these noisy critics and their tiny crusades.
To beat down your spirit.
Don't even hear it.
I didn't think I'd be able to write anything today.
I really had nothing to say.
But now that it's written, this poem is here to stay.
Or at least that's my way.
Don't think about what you can't do while times slips on by.
Just see the words with your blind eye.
