Poetry News Post #262

or nobody, or some

Written by: Dergon Anar, Spirit of the Ibex

Wounds deep enough shall never heal
The twisted mind shall keep on turning
The stabbed heart will pain forever feel...
And fires ablaze will never stop burning.
Crawl years with leg broke
Walk decades with a mind unwhole
Jog centuries pumped by the heart that felt the stroke
Race for eternity with an inflamed soul
Reach for the idea that the above is untrue
Believe in the solaced quenching and the cure of right
Strive and hope
But always wonder -- never lose the fright
Such is the cursed blessing of dying life
Such is the dark radiance of blind sight
Such is the bluntly whetted blade of the unedged knife
Such is the violent peace of the easy fight.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Halitus, in the year 432 AD.
