Mr Shrew part three!

Written by: Cap'n Mookie Iolar Mog, Wild Pup of Asaka

Our plucky shrew wenting to meeting a rig
The lion waited, in comparison so big
Mister mole waited by the side
Through poorly eyes the lion he eyed

"So you beat me eh?" says the lion with a smug grin
The jungle cacophany disappearing as the atmosphere grows thin
A proud cat stood afore him looking alert
He did not see Shrew's friend 'Bert'

"You won fair and square, Mr Shrew."
"I concede defeat to you"
Behind his back, paws crossed with wicked intent
For this lion's morals were so sorely bent

All the while in the trees above
Fluttered delicately a pretty dove
Bert was his name
His reputation earned him much fame

Without a warning the Lion did start
His terrible claws would surely tear mister shrew apart!
But here came Bert, his pretty white breast pert
'Kamikaze' dove they called him, a bit of a loon
Flapping of wings and yowling making much a chaotic tune

Mister shrew was free and away he sped
But much to his dismay, his friend bert was not ahead
Where did he go? what happened to the old guy?
Lion had snuffed him out before he had time to say goodbye

A life for a life, is it really worth it?
Mister shrew suffered much and cursed and spit
Killing another would not, his friend bring back
and so off he trudged, lugging with him his trusty pack

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Naturalis, in the year 435 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
