You have never thought of yourself as something to be desired.
You have never thought of anyone to go out of their way for you.
You have never felt what everyone needs.
And it gnaws on you like a hungry dog chews a bone.
You need the attention.
Thinking it's going to be all that you think.
You fall hard for the first person that gives you attention.
And you cling like a burr to a shaggy dog.
Because you have never been desired.
Be you fat, ugly, young, old.
Someone always looks your way.
While in one direction you blankly stare at those who gawk.
Someone shy looks at you but never speaks.
Blushes but never moves.
So the next time you blankly stare in one direction.
Quickly look the other.
And you will see that which you did not before.
You are desired.
