Emotion

Through time and time again reveal,
Feelings of sadness, passion and zeal,
The stories so manifold upon these sealed,
Yet the underlying too often too real.

Outbursts of anger, serenades of love,
Like wave upon wave that form the surf,
Heartstrings pulled, salt rubbed on nerves,
Gloomy outlooks and bitter mirth.

And all these, like poison, course through our veins,
Make us lose control or keeps us sane,
Influences our decisions or our humanity regain,
And are our strength, our weakness, our bane.
