Phoenix Tears

A phoenix, like a candle's flame, is lit
and put out every now and then.
Would you think then, that
I would remember those that I helped
or was assisted by along the way?

it often implies shattered nostalgia that
eats away at the heart; it makes tears
that do not heal anyone's soul.

Penned by my hand on the 21st of Tenebrae, in the year 437 AD.
