I had a dream last night
The stars shone bright
And above me
I could see
Aryana in the sky
Slowly gliding by
Casting her light

I dreamed of a woman who came
Long dark hair untame
As it billowed about her
Mingling with her laughter
While she spoke like a song
And all feeling of wrong
Left me forever

She took in hers my hand
And together we ran
Through forest and heather
Fine and rainy weather
Without a care in the world
We danced and we twirled
Complete with each other

We made the heather our bed
She turned to me and said,
"I love you my sweet
My heart only beats
When you are around
And I hear the sound
Of your voice in my ears."

She told me of love
And gifts from above
It was then that I knew
Whe had a love that was true
And could never fade away
Through the night and the day
Forever it would last

But I felt a tug on my soul
The night was growing old
I knew the dream could not last
So once again I cast
My gaze on her face
And her elegant grace
Preparing myself to say goodbye

I woke and heard the rain
I cannot relate the pain
I felt at our final farewell
Nor can I tell
The emptiness washing over me
My strength ebbing like the sea
I lost all will to live

Sitting on the bed in this state
I new it was just my fate
To find one I loved so deeply
Then lose her that quickly
I broke down and I cried
And though you came to my side
I could not face you

"What's the matter my sweet?"
At your voice my heart leaped
I hardly dared to believe
But I looked just to see
Confirming the thoughts in my head
That while I lay dreaming in bed ...
All along I dreamed of you.
