Madness

The endless madness
That the heart conceives
The wracking torment
That feelings bring
Death is not an option
But it sure sounds sweet
As memories are dragged
From the deep
They should be left
Locked in their cage
Then the world could be safe
but now they've escaped
And I am returning to
My own padded cell
And there I shall dwell
Till the day they return
And the madness fades
And the world is once again safe
From the madness that the memories bring

Penned by my hand on the 17th of Aequitas, in the year 459 AD.
