Poetry News Post #463

To thee who doth profess to be a poet

Written by: Heliomance
Date: Saturday, July 2nd, 2005
Addressed to: Wren Kith'Vahni

Thou'rt loved by all, dear Wren, but see
In wit and skill at poetry
Thy noble efforts poorly fare
'Gainst Valarauko's natural flair.

His ballad states the truth uncluttered
By ugly rumours darkly muttered.
Thy stanzas show the vicious streak
Beneath thy outward face so meek.

A poet from the cradle he,
A rhymester since his infancy.
Thy scathing sonnet's blissfully free
From spelling, grammar, or literacy.

Penned by my hand on the 2nd of Ultio, in the year 466 AD.
