Mother

A hollow voice;
her distant voice,
sings
into my spiral seashell of an ear.

I searched for her

cold pale skin.

I swore I saw her
in the Western Square, but
she is gone, and
I can dream no more.

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Vita, in the year 469 AD.
