Sometimes it's hard to express how you feel.
A big heart that's broken can turn into steel.
It's locked from the inside 'cause it's tender within,
Yet longs for someone to break the door in.

A heart filled with love that is caged like a bird.
Freedom it craves, it's bondage absurd
A self shackled man is so much a fool.
Disolves in his emptiness and drowns in the pool.

He strikes out in violence with lies and deceit,
And buries the pain in a hidden retreat.
No one can see him behind the facade,
But he falls asleep weeping as he prays to his God.

So do not be like the man of this tale.
His sorrow is pointless and must not prevail.
Be opened to love and you will find peace,
In the hands of a Goddess who gives us release.

Penned by my hand on the 15th of Bellum, in the year 475 AD.
