Illusion

Written by: Iona

Time shrivels and writhes
Clouds swirling into sugary visions of white
Nothing ages any more and there is no change
I've been entrapped in the hollow boundlessness of infinity
No longer do the autumn leaves fall
Frozen forever on their branches they remain
And thus I am trapped in this world of illusions
Never to escape its icy grasp of steel
Never to breathe again the air that my lungs so crave for
Never again to dance under the rays of the golden sun
I am a slave now to all of their lies
An empty vessel incapable of thought or action
A puppet for the fulfilling of all their desires

Come strike at me now Fayt of the worlds
Tear me from this frozen countenance
Bring me to the welcoming arms of Destiny
For I can live no longer under fake thoughts and false skies
Take me from this unremitting blazing torture
This nightmare that for so long has scorched my spirit
What's the harm in destroying a life that's dying anyway?
Must I myself put an end to this fallacy?
It's nothing but a dream of their overpowering pretensions
Take my hand and pull me to your arms
The sand is thinning and time is running out
And all fades to nothing and all is cold again

Trapped for an eternity in a body of clay
End this hallucination I'm lost in and take me away...

Penned by my hand on the 22nd of Halitus, in the year 476 AD.
