Twilight before Dawn

Twilight at dawn

Behold the darkness that surrounds my soul
Behold the peace payed at great toll
In the silent embrace my silent yearning
for the suns first rising, the lights first burning

in the darkness so deep, a flicker appears
and the ebony shroud seems to shiver in fear
Golden radiance appears o'er the sky
Fear and loss begin to die

Erupting forth from this twilight just seen
comes forth the suns mighty gleam
uplifting my soul, and healing my pain
as the life of the earth awakes, I gain

Hope

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Ferinus, in the year 481 AD.
