An Ode to Fishing

Well, I packed up my and my reel
And I went down to Aori Bay
To kick back and relax for most of my day
And eat some fish tonight.

Well, I baited that pole with some shrimp I found
And cast it out to sea
I waited and waited and got irritated
'Cause I want to eat fish tonight.

Just as I was dozing off in the morning sun
My pole jerked violently
I set the hook and started to reel
Man, that fish could fight.

Glancing out into the Aori,
I saw the fish I fought.
A majestic silver mackeral
Arc'd out of the deep blue.
I fought and I reeled
My stomach a-growlin
I nearly had him home.
Then my line snapped
and I landed on my can
And my little fish swam away.

Well, I packed up my rod and reel
And walked away from the bay.
Disgusted with the waste of the day
No fish for me tonight.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Halitus, in the year 484 AD.
