A blade
Forged in the hottest fire
Sits before on the desk, here
I consider it a moment
Pick it up just to hold it
And I realize the truth

I was born to do this job
To be a knight, brave and true
To protect the weak, the innocent
To fight against the hordes of evil
To protect my homeland
That's what I have to do.

It glitters in the daytime sun
And slashes through the night
As if the night were a velvet rope
The blade which enables me
To be a defender of the truth
I salute you

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Solis, in the year 485 AD.
