Feelings

How can I ever find the words
To show you how I feel inside
Yet every time I go to reach for them
They run away from me to hide.
So here I am, my heart exposed
To tell you how I feel
And share my life, my heart, and mind
These feelings strong and real.
In the past I've made mistakes
Perfection I will never be
Yet I have put that far behind
And made a better me.
I cannot say I never shall
Another mistake make
But you and I together be
Us I never will forsake.
