A summers dream

Written by: Lady Gelf Vuh'uni

My heart beats,
One after the other,
But it never feels,
From the pain caused.

A light shadow,
Casts upon it,
From the life,
I once knew.

A sunlit moment,
When they are near,
A rainbow disguised,
In the form of you.

Heavy rain clouds dwell,
Upon my pain soaked soul,
The stars so dull at night,
Like my life remains.

Fond thoughts of you,
And feelings alike,
Amounting to nothing,
Where it really counts.

Unable to show,
The simple pleasures,
Of your company,
And the joy you bring.

A time will come,
One day maybe,
Wrong it will always be,
To seek a life with you.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Ultio, in the year 490 AD.
