Random thoughts

Through all these years,
I never saw you for what you were,
But someone I was hoping you to be.

Realization has since taken place,
Taking a hold of what hope I held,
All possibility withdrawn and demolished.

A feeling remains that should not be,
For you and I cannot be,
But close you'll always stay to me.

The want, the need to see you,
Every spare moment it aches,
Yearning for your touch.

To see you smile when I am near,
As the words roll off your tongue,
As I stare and see but rarely ever hear.

Lost in my thoughts of you,
Daydreaming of my life beyond,
When placed in the hands of your own.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Ferinus, in the year 491 AD.
