Fire's burn high, burn high, glow bright
Light the tales of a Shaman's pride
Show the stories of what to come
Shaman's tale of the hunters drum

Twelve points was deer, it stood, I stalked
I hunted hard, sweat come and go
Steady hand and quivering bow
I close eyes hear spirits talk

I hear it move in graceful motion
Bend eat grass and lift to listen
Some how it know was one on mission
I pray to spirits I hunter chosen

I open eyes as world go quiet
Deer, head up, poised ready, waiting
I knew was now the time for taking.
No time to waste no need to fight it

I hear the drum beat in my ear
The drum of hunter, spirits, fear
I hear the beat of blood hot and smooth
Run down the fur where arrow run through

I step to kill with quiet respect
I know is dead but still a tear
What life was take to feed what left
A shaman know, a shaman hear

Though heart not beat and deer is dead
Still hear drum beat from life was lead
By spirit of one that give up life
So pack can eat, and hunter have pride

Fire's burn high, burn high, glow bright
Light the tales of a Shaman's pride
Show the stories of what to come
Shaman's tale of the hunters drum
