summer

The suns truly seem ablaze,
Among their endless feud,
As ever brighter are the days,
By soothing warmth imbued.

The leaves obediently kneel,
Before the golden orb,
And then enjoy a healthy meal,
As sunlight they absorb.

The grayish clouds of heavy rains,
On far horizons loom,
Encompassing entire domains,
With seeming plans of doom.

As thunder booms out from their depths,
A testament to force,
It fills the nearby trickling creaks,
With unexplained remorse.

The giant drops of crystal rain,
Begin their short descent,
As each of thousand drops contain
A gentle song fragment.

Emerald forests of brown earth,
In breezes gently sway,
And ever pondering their birth,
Perform a slow ballet.

The ripe and crimson cherry trees,
Display their luscious fruit,
Which animals are quick to seize,
After a small dispute.

The moons sit high up in the sky,
As nightingales call,
And as the wind sings to trees,
The leaves begin to fall.

The summer sun begins to dim,
As nights forever grow,
As leaves take on a golden rim,
And soon give way to snow.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Vita, in the year 497 AD.
