Delicate

Powerful ocean,
crashing on the sun-baked shore -
the small heron feeds.

Desire

Soft petals of fire
bursting forth from the mountain -
nature's lingerie.

Mountain Laurel

The mountain laurel stood in splendid majesty,
wreathed in dark green and large clusters of blossoms.
The girl stood beside it in wonder, marveling at its beauty.
Each blossom was as white as snow,
with red highlights delicately painted on.
Her hand moved out to hold it;
her caress as gentle as the softly blowing breeze.
There they stood, one beauty complementing the next.
And then she turned and was gone.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Letum, in the year 503 AD.
