Reason or want

Written by: Squire Vanya, Guardsman of Kinsarmar
Date: Thursday, September 27th, 2007
Addressed to: Everyone

How my heart longs for love
And my head for calm
Strong is the pull to claim and be claimed

So subtle the ringing tone of reason

What I do not know draws me
What I do not understand pushes me away
How helpless are we to wonder
How pointless to struggle in a net

So far cast is love, so wide spred
So thick the tangle of its web
No man, magicker or demoner
Can walk a path around it

Somewhere in our being it is born
Well before we are aware
Whether for a person, thing, or beast
It will surface and linger, strong

How my heart longs for love
For one to find the strength
For one to weather my defenses
For one to claim my heart

qw
Through persistence and vigilance
Who's to answer such an arduous challenge

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Letum, in the year 532 AD.
