In Rememberance

To think of the comfort of time
ere sixty years gone by
the smile and laughter
the shape of your nose
or farther back still
infant laughter and glee
still feel like yesterday to me.

To think of the comfort of time
ere sixty years gone by
the smile and laughter
the shape of your nose
or farther back still
infant laughter and glee
still feel like yesterday to me.

Years can seem to pass without my tears
thinking of you fondly
of the years I was blessed with you.
Till one day your sweet melody
warms my soul and others in needed calm
to bring back so much
to feel your nubile movements in me
or the look of your eyes as you sleep.

Where are your eyes now
closed to the lights of the sky
skin without the breeze through the trees.
What lips would have kissed
whose hearts would have loved
A life, a man, a world never to be known.

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Naturalis, in the year 577 AD.
