A Dream In The Woods

Written by: Storm Child Tredian

Once, everyday, I stroll into the woods
Adoring the trees and the shade they bestow
Listening to the soft, sweet chirp of birds
Swimming happily in the clear, clean lakes

To sit and relax by an oak tree's trunk
And dream of dreams afar and deep
Until the night has set on me
My journey to home must then begin

This routine, I do everyday
Wishing..dreaming..hoping..
That I could meet one, strolling in the woods
And share what I love and enjoy

I would teach her to climb, the trees so high
Or teach her to swim, the waters still
Or teach her to plant, the flowers soft
Or teach her to watch...and dream..

I'd take her up high, the mountain's peak
I'd take her to my cliff
We'd sit down together, and watch the sun rise
Watching and waiting for it to set..

When night will come, we'd not go home
We'd run and run and run..
Looking at the sky from the forest's heart
Counting the stars one by one

When we get tired, at that night still
We'd go back to my cliff
And watch the moon, the big gray moon
And sleep and snore so loud..

We'd wake up with our backs so warm
The sun now rising up...
...My eyes awakened, I sadly smiled..
I was dreaming I nearly forgot..

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Halitus, in the year 582 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021
