Each little visit
like a piece of candy melting on the tongue
a spark of sweetness
and a smile that satisfies.

Waking in that fragment of sunshine
a glowing warmth alighting the room
however brief
it is something that carries through the day
leaving its light inside
a sunny disposition.

Some form of warm breeze in Spring
that carries with it
the comforting, relieving scent of lilacs
so brief in their life
but so lasting in their presence.

That the lingering press of your lips
stays there on mine, on my cheek and neck
to let the blanket surety of your arms
enfold me when the world is lost
behind the closure of my eyes.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Aequitas, in the year 582 AD.
