Signs
-----
The tides of pain my heart do rend,
As a tidal surge empathy sets in.
The insight it gives can open your eyes,
And ears as well to hear others cries.
Most, quiet and subtle, so hard to discern,
But powerful still as is easy to learn.
-
A child at play, never far from its mother,
Her hawk eyed gaze expanding ever further.
Her defensive thoughts inspired by fear,
For the dangers that truly are always near.
-
A girl lies sobbing at home in her bed,
For something she felt just had to be said.
The stand she took will certainly pay,
In a fine, rich reward by her God someday.
Yet the grief she feels is present day ire,
As her classmates still slap her with verbal mire.
-
A man lying desolate in response to a heathen,
Spreads broken on the ground thinking he's beaten.
Arise oh brother, and share your pain,
This turmoil inside you is truly a bane.
Feel it do those who are sighing and groaning,
Over the detestible things of this system we're moaning.
-
This pain being felt must become even worse,
Invoking feelings that accompany a curse.
Spreading it is, and spreading it must,
For this system to end and become like the dust.
Until that day, we must all contend,
With the onslaught of troubles this system will lend.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021
