To Aria, my daughter...

Written by: Duty Bound, Dame Lakessa De'Murne, Crystalline Sorrow

It's been ten years
And I keep going back there from here again
The dust in my heart stirs
And I lose my breath

Sigh. I want the numbness in me
To both seep further in but to go further away
Because a searing pain occurs
When I think upon your death

I envy those who
Can't hear the cries of grief from my clamped mouth
Because my gut inside churns
And emptiness is what remains

Blink. It seems like yesterday
When I held your small hand in my very own
The tears in my eyes burned
To see your little body writhe in pains

Gods, Aria...how I ache to hold you in my arms once more just to see you
smile at me...
...once more...

Let me rest so I can let you rest,
Momma

Penned by my hand on the 4th of Ultio, in the year 410 AD.
