24.29 Earrings
Earrings are a special promotional items which give the owner simple powers that help in PvE and PvP situations.
All earrings have a base power, a stacked bonus, and a linked bonus.
The character wearing an earring will benefit from the base power. If wearing two of the same type, they will receive the stacked bonus. If the character has linked with another character, they will get the linked bonus of any earrings they are wearing as well.
You can only link with one other character at a time and they must be online for you to receive the benefit.
Linking with a new character will nullify your previous link.
Commands

WEAR <earring>
An earring must be worn in order to activate it. You can wear as many earrings as you like.
TOUCH <type> EARRING TO [activate|deactivate]
This will turn earring powers off and on. A full list of the types of earrings and their powers are listed below. There is a balance cost when activating an earring and you may only have two active earrings at a time. If you already have two earrings activated, you will have to turn one off before activating another.
You can touch ALL to deactivate all active earrings.
LINK EARRINGS WITH <player>
Characters may link earring powers with another player. Characters must AGREE to accept the link. Character must be wearing an earring in order to link. If either character logs out, they will both lose the link. In some cases, the linked bonus is significantly better than the base or stacked bonuses. Characters do not have to be wearing the same earrings to get the linked bonus.

Earring Powers

Amber Earring
Decrease how long tree tattoo recovery time is. 10% base increase, 5% stacked increase, 10% linked increase.
Amethyst Earring
Chance to direct sense skills to the wrong room. 10% base chance, 10% stacked increase, 25% linked increase.
Aquamarine Earring
This earring only works when linked to another character and both must be wearing it. You will get a notification about every affliction your linked companion receives. In addition, if you use the appropriate herb or salve to heal that affliction, there is a 10% chance they will be healed as well. Does not work across planes. 10% stacked increase, 10% linked increase.
Aventurine Earring
If you are killed wearing this earring, your body will disappear and cannot be used for decapitation or other forms of abuse. If you stacked or linked, your body will actually explode doing damage to anyone in the room. If linked and stacked, it will do double that amount of damage.
Calcite Earring
Slightly increase the speed of each stage behead and cleave. .5 second base decrease, .5 second stacked decrease, .5 second linked decrease. (See AB WEAPONRY BEHEAD)
Citrine Earring
Create an illusion to appear as another mob in the room. This means you will be colored like a mob and you will use the mobs room description. The illusion is shattered with most commands. TOUCH <mob> WITH EARRING to activate. You must be wearing the earring and cannot have both earring slots currently active. If you are wearing two citrine earrings, and have no other earrings active, you will be able to do normal says and appear as this mob as well. This earring does not stack with linked characters.
Coral Earring
If worn or linked this earring will reduce the mana drain on vigilance and telesense by 50%. If you are stacked (wearing two or wearing one and linked) it will remove the drain completely. (See AB PERCEPTION VIGILANCE, and AB PERCEPTION TELESENSE)
Diaspore Earring
Improve your balance recovery speed, in exchange for slower equilibrium recovery speed. This means you will recover balance faster, but take longer to regain equilibrium. 2% base speed swap, 2% stacked swap, 2% linked swap.
Emerald Earring
Increase damage against mobs in PvE. 5% base increase, 2% stacked increase, 2% linked increase.
Garnet Earring
If worn or linked this earring will reduce the mana drain on alertness, skywatch, and treewatch by 50%. If you are stacked (wearing two or wearing one and linked) it will remove the drain completely. (See AB PERCEPTION ALERTNESS, AB PERCEPTION SKYWATCH, and AB PERCEPTION TREEWATCH)
Hematite Earring
Decrease how long WRITHE recovery time is. 10% base increase, 5% stacked increase, 10% linked increase.
Jade Earring
Decrease how long RESTORE recovery time is. 10% base increase, 5% stacked increase, 10% linked increase.
Jasper Earring
Increase the effectiveness of the CLOT command. 10% base increase, 15% stacked increase, 25% linked increase.
Obsidian Earring
Decrease how long it takes to recover from a blackout. 10% base increase, 15% stacked increase, 25% linked increase.
Onyx Earring
Decrease how long PURGE BLOOD recovery time is. 10% base increase, 5% stacked increase, 10% linked increase.
Opal Earring
Increase the amount your boar tattoo regenerates. 1% more regen, 2% stacked increase, 2% linked increase. Note: Boar works different then the Moon tattoo. Boar normally regenerates 5% of you max health. This means Opal earrings can increase that to 10% per tick.
Pearl Earring
Decrease how long it takes to TUMBLE from room to room. 25% faster, 10% stacked increase, 25% linked increase.
Pyrite Earring
If worn or linked this earring will reduce the mana drain on warning by 50%. If you are stacked (wearing two or wearing one and linked) it will remove the drain completely. If you are stacked and linked it will actually cause damage to anyone seeking you. (See AB PERCEPTION WARNING)
Quartz Earring
Starburst does not work for the next person you kill. 24 hour base cooldown. 12 hour base cooldown when stacked or linked. The cooldown is based on the number worn when you get the kill. Wearing it later will not speed things up.
Ruby Earring
Increase chance of critical hits in PvE. 5% base increase, 2% stacked increase, 2% linked increase.
Sapphire Earring
Decrease damage from mobs in PvE. 5% base decrease, 2% stacked decrease, 2% linked decrease.
Serpentine Earring
Reduced the amount of mana needed for trueassess and gives you the skill if you do not have it. 25% base decrease, 25% stacked decrease, 25% linked decrease. (See AB PERCEPTION TRUEASSESS)
Spinel Earring
When you kill a mob or player, recover health and mana. 10% base amount, 5% stacked amount, 15% linked amount. Players recover the full percentage and mobs only recover half of this amount.
Topaz Earring
Improve your equilibrium recovery speed, in exchange for balance recovery speed. This means you will regain equilibrium faster, but take longer to recover balance. 2% base speed swap, 2% stacked swap, 2% linked swap.
Turquoise Earring
Increase the amount your moon tattoo regenerates. 5% more regen, 10% stacked increase, 10% linked increase. Note: Moon works different then the Boar tattoo. Moon regenerates a flat amount of mana per tick. Turquoise earrings increase that flat amount by up to 25%.
