11.1 Entities
Entities were beings of pure energy, formed from the essence left behind by the Gods after they were slain in the events that signaled the end of the Third Age and the beginning of the Age of Mortality. Entities were born with no distinct powers or personality, their mind entirely blank and devoid of memories. As entities explored the worlds around them, they began to attach themselves to the mortal sects and cults that sprang up in the absence of the Gods, and this attachment allowed them to evolve into distinct beings based on the circle they were affiliated with: morphae (Magick), ascendari (Anti-Magick), and diabolus (Demonic). Two other entities were born of this essence but their paths diverged greatly from the others, as Legion vied for control of the Underworld, while Urzog became worshipped among the Horde.
In the late summer of 315 AM, the last remaining entities with mortal followings - Tonrar, Tavreth, Nimtiel, Vespasien, and Myfanwe - offered their essence in sacrifice to the returned God of Death, Thanatos, so that He could restore the Eternal Empire of Stavenn and, in the process, end the life of the Scourge King Urzog once and for all.
