4.3.6 The Akrabi
Upon the ancient sands of the Shaahri, as the first human footprints marked their territory, the hot desert winds whispered tales of transformation. The mysterious force of the Awakening pulsed through the veins of the settlers of Antioch and the outlying townes, intertwining their destinies with the countless venomous arachnids that thrived in the unforgiving dunes. From this union, the Akrabi emerged, a testament to adaptation and survival. Their bodies, encased in formidable chitin armor, shimmer under the desert sun, reflecting a spectrum of colors from the golden sands to the deep blues of twilight. Their tails, arched and poised, carry a venom that is both a weapon and a symbol of their legacy. To encounter an akrabi is to witness the desert's heart and soul personified, and while they were once exiled from Antioch and branded as abominations, in the modern age they have been embraced by those who inhabit the protectorate. Their hardiness does afford them the opportunity to travel all throughout Aetherius, however.
