Design Pattern Leeway

Hello, darling approvers, and crafters, of Aetherius!

As most of you know, among our crafting rules is one that states the pattern type (and item type) of a designed item must appear in that design's attributes (appearance, dropped, and examined). In the past, there have been certain exceptions made and leeway granted when creating item types for which patterns did not exist. In an effort to crack down on exceptions to our crafting rules, today I am closing down those exceptions.

If you wish to create a design for which no pattern exists (such as heels, which were previously given leeway on the shoes pattern, but now have their own pattern), please send Me a message. We can explore the idea of creating a new pattern rather than reusing an existing one. New patterns will not be created in all cases - sometimes I'll tell you to modify your design so it fits an existing pattern - but I'm open to creating new patterns in a general sense.

Approvers - this will not change existing designs that are refreshed, but should be applied to all new and resubmitted designs.

Happy crafting!

Penned by my hand on the 24th of Aequitas, in the year 82 AM.
