The Rise of Algoris

Stories of a mad druid began to filter through the air as various
denizens of the cities and councils recalled a name not spoken in years.
Erulehto was the first to speak the name "Algoris", a druid who had gone
mad with the need to see nature flourish and to ensure the full
destruction of any city that stood. He had gone mad with power, and was
hunted down by fellow druids, and was never found after that. All had
thought he had passed.

The feelings of something dreadfully wrong began to spread through the
very skills that the inhabitants of the world possessed. Mages felt an
ill vibration from the Crystal through their staffs, druids felt that
something was wrong in the pounding of the earth itself. Earthsingers
felt the very resonance of nature begin to shift while monks felt a
strong ancient mind pass by. Finally, the bone casters and fortune
tellers began forseeing great trouble to come, quickly telling their
dire prophecies to those who would listen.

Not long after the warnings, the attacks began. Hopping poppies began
overtaking the cities one by one. Antioch was the first to be attacked
while the native man, Algoris, cheered on his troops. Everywhere the
poppies gathered, a pollenated haze was left, putting people to sleep
while the poppies continued to attack anyone who was nearby. As Antioch
figured out that fans and wind could blow the pollen away, Kinsarmar
felt the wrath of the poppies next. Many died as the Councils of Celidon
and Khandava rose to help their ally, quickly working alongside
Kinsarmar in an attempt to clear out the pesky poppies while a clever
mage figured out that gust would work as the fans had in Antioch.

Finally, Stavenn was attacked. Having ample warning from the previous
attacks on the other two cities, the Imperator had organized a group of
people to combat the viscious poppies. Once more, as Algoris yelled, the
plants attacked and fell to a large party of defenders. It was then that
Stavenn gained the knowledge that fans could clear the pollen and began
to do so while they were approached by the general of the armies,
Therain.

Therain spoke his demands in the name of his master, Algoris. The cities
would dedicate themselves to nature, falling to their might. It would
happen one of two ways. They either gave in, or they gave in after being
attacked. It is their choice...

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021
