While the towne of Cetara tried to defend itself against the darkness
moving through their streets, the Wytchen joined together and sought the
help of the Spirits. At great cost to themselves, they were able to
summon forth one that revealed the darkness to be the spirit Ni'Xoq. A
spirit that been trapped in the physical realm for many years. It was
noted the presence of darkness bode ill for the towne and that the
spirits would attempt to help, commanding the Wytchen to call Kal'Surah
at a later time.

In the meantime, several people attempted to rid the towne of the
darkness, but efforts were met with increased irritation on the part of
the spirit, until it became fully aggressive on any that came near it.
Trez Blackmoor responded quickly to the situation and commanded Diavlous
to watch the gates, preventing anyone entering Cetara until the problem
could be solved. Soon the time came to call on the spirit, but energies
were still spent and rather than risk the Wytchen, Kal'Surah instead
left behind an enruned chest. Once the Wytchen figured out how to open
it, a scroll revealed more information about Ni'Xoq and the only way to
banishing this spirit from the physical realm.

Pulling together, many Wytchen created a circle, and led by Lalitana,
they beseeched the guardians to watch over Kamaylie as she set herself
up to bait the darkness into a trap that could result in the spirit
being banished. At first the spirit seemed to her, but suddenly turned
on Kamaylie, following her to a secluded alcove where it attempted to
block her in, sensing her immediate demise, when following her
directions without fault, Kamaylie sent the spirit, along with herself
crashing into the Underworld, where Iluv awaited them, hoping to chant
the final words of banishment. As the darkness battered against their
very souls seeking escape its hold was severed and he disappeared into
nothingness, lifting the veil of darkness over Cetara.

It has been learned that Ni'Xoq is unable to bring form to himself, even
in the form of darkness, unless one from this world calls him, the
question remains, and may always remain...why was it brought here to
torment Cetara all those years ago and who released it just months ago.
