One would think darkness would be no stranger to the once veiled towne
of Cetara, particularly after a rather grueling ritual was held to bring
a hint of taint to shroud the towne. For months people were battered by
unseen forces and the taste of taint in the air, even the denizens
speaking sporadically in what has come to be known as Olde Demonic.

It is no surprise that when darkness befell them, it took time for some
to notice the change, it wasn't until some saw a misty veil descend upon
Cetara that people took notice. As Imperator Erana and several Wytchen
under the direction of the Wytchdoktor searched every nook and cranny of
the usually quiet towne, they discovered a hole that had been shrouded
in darkness, a hole that was surrounded by many shattered runes and
moonstones.

Not many of the towne's people were willing to talk, only the hag of
Cetara seemed to have a clue, even though she denied having any
knowledge. When threatened with death, she simply cackled that she had
learned how to cheat death, that this was nothing she feared, perhaps
they would do better elsewhere. It was the Witch Mederas that finally
revealed some clues as it was she who had laid the hole as a trap for
what she had assumed was a spirit, one of darkness and without doubt
malevolent in intent.

She said it fed off the minds of the weak and almost drove her mad in
her attempts to fight him, but in the end had managed to trap him in a
hole lined with runes and moonstones. She was gravely concerned for the
towne, as already some were succombing to the darkness and falling into
slumber.

The darkness has taken form and now moves through the towne, preying on
any that near it. Stavenn continues to try and solve this mystery while
the Wytchen look to the Spirits in hopes of aiding Cetara rid themselves
of this curse.
