A bittersweetness

Written by: Icarius Bharathian, Empyreal Warrior

If I could change me I would
I would feel different, if only I could
To make me feel this a little less
To rid me of this awful mess

In me...

I'd rid me of my pain if I could
Change my mind, I really would
Leaving a small black box in my mind
Locked and bound, gagged and tied

Sitting by itself...

But a lonely bittersweet thought
Is still full and sweet, even when it's caught
Deep within the fathomless depths of myself
I can't simply forget them, and put them away on the shelf

And walk away...
If only I could.

Penned by my hand on the 16th of Fas, in the year 418 AD.
