Underneath the Snow is Lush Green Grass

Just another "same" day, or so I thought,
Until an aged man walked just near my spot.

He constantly asked questions I don't know,
And always waited for my reply so.

The one thing that he always, always asked
That struck me so I almost let it pass,

'Twas this question, the one I pondered much:
"Why O why has this world transformed such?"

I glanced at him, yet pondering again,
And so I said, "What do you mean, my friend?"

He looked at me with scorn but then enthused,
"O why o why has this world been abused?

"The killing, blood, just lying everywhere,
Including that of children's lives of scare."

He looked down to his feet and tears escaped,
To drizzle upon his new fancy cape.

My smile suddenly turned upside down.
I haven't noticed how life was like now,

But the thing I replied to the wise man,
I hoped would be useful to his own plan.

'Twas this, "The answer's in your heart, I know...
The world isn't in darkness, it's in snow."

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Solis, in the year 420 AD.
