THE GARDEN OF DAYDREAMS

The sound of silence fills the air
As visions dance a daydream waltz.
They fill the room without a care
And provoke the heart to tender thoughts.
Ghosts of the living now take the stage
And dance to tunes of imagined days.
They change the past and roam the ways
Of time, as written on alternate pages.
So the solemn song of memories goes:
The melody of what was, and could have been;
A romantic mystery where poets know
The tune that tells where lovers sleep.
The heart is where these shadows dwell
In fields so full of fragrant smells.
Here, forget what fate has dealt
And dream sweet dreams that all is well.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Artificium, in the year 422 AD.
