Heartbeat

T' dream is a curse
T'wake is even worse
I feel nae heartbeat when I look in a mirror
T'see love for y'...in m'face...clearer an' clearer
The cold o'the night overtakes me
When I stare at the stars empty
I cannae help the tear slidin' down m'face
Beside me...is an empty place...
They said I'd heal
And slowly feel
Joy in a time not far away
M'heart I would lay
Down t'feel happy once more
If it weren't tattered and torn
Tired, makin' me dream
Bout a man far off in Antioch...
M'heartbeat...
So it still seems.
