Taming of the shrew

First of all I must say
You paint pictures in such a marvelous way
Teller of stories is what you be
But when the dust settles, last fox standing will be me

Although I do not paint pictures
And know little of woodland creatures
They're tasty my dear, or so I do hear
Lightly salted, put a smile upon my features

So on with the glorious battle
On with the glorious herd
Is it symphony or cocaphony
When I drive this herd of words

So pass the pepper and pass the salt
I'll pass on conversation too
I don't like to be disturbed when I do eat
For you'll never tame this shrew

Penned by my hand on the 10th of Tenebrae, in the year 435 AD.
