"A Retort"

Written by: Silent Songweaver, Nisha Savet

She had everything, and then she had none
In a moment of weakness she was left bereft
Where once were two there then was one
In a moment of weakness she was left

Shadow left Joy for Shallow
Demonslayer left Truth for Lies
Broken was left so hollow
Lies kept on her Demonslayer's eyes

Demonslayer came to his senses
Lies was quite surprised
Her siren call she'd thought got past his defenses
Her inner self she'd kept disguised

Yet Demonslayer fixed Broken
And turned her back to Joy
Lies claimed she was Heart-broken
Life with Demonslayer she'd hoped to enjoy

Covet not what you stole from another
For what is meant to be will be
Seek not this wild one to smother
For with another he is meant to be

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Aequitas, in the year 437 AD.
